The 6 Level Model as Method Tool Box

The trend towards the “Lean Office” continues to grow. An increasing number of managers is identifying that waste, long search times, high throughput times, bottlenecks, redundancy and high space requirements reduce margins and constrain productivity in the administrative area. The relief of “tidying up” and better organisation in the office is often mentioned. But an ”improved living“ campaign is not sufficient to control the processes. People in the offices have to be transformed from „Refrainers“ to  „Entrepreneurs’ in their own organisation. Accountability should be strengthened and the processes should flow more.

For this we have developed a 6 Level Model which ideally helps staff to move by levels from “Full Tabler’ in the direction of  “Modern Nomad’. The quality of work will improve at the same time and motivation and job satisfaction will also increase.

Success with TSM depends on good preparation.
This includes:

  • Management commitment: The management team has to be convinced of TSM, create the conditions and support the activities
  • Train TSM Coordinator: Not possible without methodology expertise
  • Train TSM Process Manager: Process Managers are the multiplicators, which support and drive the improvement process
  • Create road map: Clear goals with dates so that everyone knows the goals
